I have decided to make my home networking setup wire free,no problem, but, I am with AOL and they suggest useing various routers and adaptors made by Netgear and Thompson Speed touch. Does anybody know, are these products neccesary for use on AOL or can I opt for some other make which could perhaps be cheaper, if so can anyone recommend other makes

I set a home network up a while ago, and I found using the netgear DG834G very easy to set up as a beginner to wi-fi. I added my xbox to the network using a Linksys game adapter and found the Linksys hardware much harder to set up, so personaly I would use netgear products in the future.
