why is it 'busy'?

g'day.

i've noticed in the last couple of days that the red light on the computer tower that tells you something is 'happening', has started flashing very busily for no apparent reason.
nothing is being downloaded at these times so i'm unsure why this is.

is there a place to go to actually see what is happening with the computer at any given time? somewhere that shows what is currently running, that type of thing?

Open 'Task Manager and click 'processes. That should tell you what loads when you start up.

bring up task manager and see what's eating ur resources. System Idle (at the bottom) should be around 90 or so. It could be just an av scan/spyware scan just for example.
