why is it that when people start a thread get several answer then do not reply to them if get answer to problem then do not tick resolve to finish.

I think that people do not click "resolved" simply because they are hoping for other options to their question which might come at a later date and they would not know about the reply.

I do not support this thought, but, it is probably the reasoning
