WHY HAS MY BROADBAND SLOWED UP?

being a pc beginner i assume my year old pc is running slower than it was bcos of the history content i havnt ever deleted.or is my norton antivirus doing this for me automatically. i am on windows xp. my once speedy broadband has slowed up.any simple ideas to get things back to normal? cheers

Cooter, if you think it's because of History, cookies and Temp Internet files it is safe to delete them. If you require any sites that are in your History folder save them first.

I think you need a spring clean, as above it mite be a good idea to clear your Windows Temp files also and empty the recycle bin. Do a thorough Scandik and Defrag
