Why Doesn't my new PC play BF2

Hi there,

I took delivery of a new PC from overclockers today. I loaded my favourite game Battlefield Bad Company 2 and it's unplayable...very choppy.

Have I chosen the wrong card? (I thought it was pretty much OK)or could there be another reason?

I'm pretty much a thickie about techy stuff so would appreciate an idiots guide.

Thanks.

Sorry, I should mention that it's BF Bad Company 2 not BF2.

Thanks.

could you turn down the settings, or are they all on full? I know stuff like shadow effects and v-sync can take a lot of graphics card power
