Every couple of weeks, my computer throws up a blue screen saying Kernel_Stack_Inpage_Error, then loads of gobbledee gook and then says at the end 'beginning physical dump of memory'.

When I restart by switching off machine, everything is fine

I have a Sony desk top oerating on Windows XP Home Edition

Any help appreciated

Regards

OK, a possible cause cause is some incompatible hardware or disc controller, but the most likely is a problem hard disc. Run checkdisc to see if there are any problems. I would suggest if the drive manufacturer has their own checking utility to use that instead.
