I am in the early stages of learning html, but I seem to have a fundamental problem. After typing out the code in Notepad.exe and going to 'save as' I am presented with 'save as type' which I leave on 'Text Documents[*.txt) And underneath, the encoding options which are:
ANSI
Unicode
Unicode big endian
UTF-8

Does anyone know which of these I need to select so I can view the results in my browser?
At the moment it is not saving in html format at all. I am using Windows XP. Thanks.

you hae to save the file like so; MYFILE.html not .txt To make sure save like this "MYFILE.html"

PS don't worry bout the encodinig thing. Leave it as is.

Call the document

Anything.html

where anything is the name of the document.

Use UTF-8
