For some reason, I cannot print in black anymore, in fact I thought it had run out, but I have just printed my telephone list and all the names, numbers etc are in white.
How do I get my black back please?

Have you by any chance changed the "Default" colour of your font from within "Word"?

New ink cartridge?

when you go into wordpad or ms word and select colour choose AUTOMATIC.

Just curious but if they are printing in white how do you know they are printing at all

Precisely my reaction.

Do you mean the text is inverted? i.e. white on black, instead of black on white.

I know I am printing in white because my telephone list is done in Word, and each name and number is highlighted in different colours, so I can see the letters.
My black and white is not reversed, because it does not colour the whole page black.

If nothing else, it must be a macro?

Have you tried changing the text to, say, blue or red or green. If so, does it print in those colours, if it does I think I would suggest changing the black cartridge, even if you think it still has ink in it.

Does the black work then?

If - yes. Then you will have to check you settings on the address list.
