Which PC?

My PC currently has 700 RAM, Intel Pentium 4 60 gb hard drive, NVIDIA GE Force 2, 64 MB video memory, TV out

I am looking to give this one to my daughter and get myself something more up to date, but what do I look for?

I use the PC mostly for word documents, photos, internet/email and telephony. I would just like something a bit better and faster but don't know what specifications to look for.

Also, is it possible to buy a PC in France, but change the operating language to English?

The usual first question is "How much can you spend"

  Daisy22 17:27 22 Feb 06

about £400

Are you expecting this price to include a monitor?

I would thoroughly recommend the Dell.

And just to confuse the issue further……….

Looking on another site this package from Aldi was mentioned. On the plus side it has a 3 year on site warranty but no monitor for £379.99. A media biased PC.

At evening classes one or two have spoke well of Aldi computerware but I have no experience of them.

Go to Special Buys - bottom of the list.
