I have deleted the partitions on my hard drive due to problems with my P.C. I was told to do this by an evesham advisor before re installing windows xp, after successfully reinstalling it I can't partition the hard drive with my acronis partition program, another evesham advisor said there were partition programs that run outside the computer they go deep in to the bios he advised using one of these he said that may work, does anyone know of a decent program. thanks.

There are a few freebies around, but frankly I prefer to pay for Partition Magic

If you have a full XP cd this can be used to create partions during the setup process

Partitions have nothing to do with the BIOS.

You should really have set up your partions using the XP CD BEFORE installing XP.

You need Partion magic to partion the drive without losing data.

Another partition progrm that is free is Ranish click here but I don't know how sucessful it will be, back up everthing you need before trying.
