Looks like pretty much the same thing from different manufacturers.
I don't think there's any technical difference between the two so I'd go for price.

The same? Go for the more expensive one, its atx rather than micro atx as the other one, more expansion slots, better transistors

I'm with 'ICF' on this one,Asus are far superior and if your into overclocking, its an absolutely easy peasy with this board.
Pair it with an i5 2500K click here and you have the start of a very tasty setup.

thanks for the replies guys, the main thing attracting me to the asrock motherboard is i would get more sata 6gbps ports and usb 3.0 ports ?

as far as the cpu suggestion, it would put me slighty over budget im on a budget of £270

the cpu i had in mind is i5 2400 3.1ghz below ?

As the price difference is very little I would save up and go for the 2500k, review and conclusion here click here

Well if your budget is as tight as you suggest, go with the Asrock, but the review here, and I use this site and forum as they know their components,so have a read, see what you think. click here

ah well think that may put the asrock out, as one of the main reasons i liked that board was the extra sata 6gb ports, but if they are rated as very slow compared to other 6gb boards.

now looking at

asus p8h67-m evo

gigabyte ga-h67ma-ud2h
