Which Laptop?

I am about to purchase a new laptop and have somehow narrowed my choice down to an Acer or an Asus or, maybe, an Evesham and cannot decide which make to go for. Or indeed which type of processor - an Intel core duo or a Pentium M or a Centrino or maybe a Celeron.

Has anyone had any experiences of any of the makes listed and of after sales service and also any thoughts on which is the best processor to go for today.

The computer will mainly be used for spreadsheet work, word processing (using Dragon Dictate voice dictation), emailing and net surfing, editing photos and some gaming but not a lot.

It will be 15.4" with 1024 Ram, 80/100 gig, non-gloss screen and should not weigh over 3kg.

All comments and observations will be gratefully received.

Many thanks.

Roger
