I am trying to upgrade my computer and have just installed some new RAm, I now want to upgrade the graphics card but I have no idea how to work out whether a card has to be compatible( iguess it does ) and what all the numbers really mean. Is there anywhere that scans your system and then tells you what to buy. A bit like Crucial for RAM.

If you download and install click here
it will tell you what your motherboard is which you can post back here, then folks will be able to advise you on your graphics card upgrade.

Hi, thanks for the response but a little worried about downloading and installing from a link. There must be another way of finding the name of the motherboard.

You can open the case and have a look, it should tell you the wattage on the psu. (power supply unit)
