I've just bought a Saitek optical mouse and its like having a brick in your hand, unless you have very big hands keep well away.

mx518 is great I have one, good value for money too.

I believe the the g5 and g7 are excellent also.

Thanks for that, the Mx518 I think ile go for, looks good, I'm into games like Half Life and Half Life 2 and Counter Strike so I'm wondering if it would be a better performance?

For gaming it is better to have a gaming mouse, even in normal day today use I can't tolerate normal mice any more. Gaming mice are highly sensitive, 100's of times more accurate and faster to use than crappy bog standard ones.

It won't make you a champion gamer though, it hasn't with me anyway :(

A great mouse. I would recommend it anyday.

Logitech G5 Gaming Laser Mouse USB

Logitech MX518 Gaming Grade Silver Optical Mouse -PS2/USB

The G5 gaming Mouse is a bit more expensive than the MX518 so is the more expensive mouse the better one??
