which file format?

hi guys,
I want to convert mp3 files to a format which can be played in my vcd which does not support mp3.Which type of audio format should i convert them to?

hi,
Am using online media convert and the ones available are:
wave form audio format(.wav)
mpeg advance audio coding(.mp4)
asf audio(.wma)
so i dont know which to use out of these to be able to play.the mp4 is totally out.
wish you can be of help and thanks for any contribution.

The actual file format for Audio CDs is .cda.

If you have Nero, just make an audio CD and Nero will automatically convert them to .cda files. They can then be played in any CD/DVD player.

Depending on the length of the tracks you will only be able to get around 12 to 20 tracks on a CD.
