Any ideas or recommendations please ?

Have a look click here
I think you'll struggle to find a laptop with MS Word and Excel pre installed, for under £400, if software is included it tends to be MS Works, which is a cut down version of MS Office.

Thanks guys,
it looks like he'll be going for a fujitsu 5515 or 1718 - £399.
Just a matter of finding a reliable retailer now - tried 2 so far,,,,
Pixmania haven't replied to 2 e-mails
E-Buyer have messed up the payments !

My son works away, so is not desperate for a few days,,,, & loads more shops to try.

Thanks for the advice - resolved
