NOT NECESSARILY TRUE. It depends on the make. the two AAA batteries in my Trust wireless mouse last about twelve months.

Regarding wireless mice, I have the Logitech MX Revolution and although I don't play games I have never noticed any response lag, poor battery life (lasts 2 weeks between charges and you can see from the battery indicator when its running low) also its a laser tracking so it is very precise.

Also I would have thought that a cord would be of a hindrance whist moving the mouse around whilst playing on a game?

Here is a review I wrote on the MX Revolution I mention. click here

My cousin plays a lot of games and he got the Logitech MX Revolution on my recommendation, he says its the best mouse he has ever used, previous to this he used to have a corded variety.

Definitely no 2 option.

The reason I say this is because of the Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 processor. I got this processor in a build I got about 4-5 months back and its an absolutely superb processor, it makes light work of anything you can throw at it, also its Quad core (basically thinking of future use), as when more and more programs etc make use of it you will see further benefits, also if possible request the Q6600 SLACR G0 Stepping version as this seems to allow more overclocking better, this is the version/revision I have got and you can overclock it easily to 3ghz even with the stock cooler.

I must admit to been a bit apprehensive from going from a 3 GHZ Intel processor on my old PC to a 2.4GHZ Q6600 processor, but I need not have been, basically the Q6600 can process/handle more data in the same time. Here's a link which explains this a bit more clearly.

FatboySlim71... "Also I would have thought that a cord would be of a hindrance whist moving the mouse around whilst playing on a game?"

i kind of thought that, maybe i will get a 360 controller if its no good. i cant seem to find any info on Microsoft remote keyboard & mouse wireless 3000, if anybody had a link please post thanks

i found the revolution to be quite good with response times, however compared to click here click here or click here it never came close.
