Which is best laptop around £1000.

I notice in the PC advisor it always seems to go for certain makes & never mentions high street brands such as Sony Vaio & HP.
Is this biased or are its recommendions the best?

I would prefer one to use at home to replace a Desktop.
With 120 Gig,2GB Ram & maybe a 17 or 20inch screen.
Will use for Access,Autoroute,Photoshop & internet etc.

toshiba satelitte pro's are good!

they are fast n come with a lot of memory and hard drive space

I imagine PCA only test the machines that they are supplied with for free (to be returned after testing, of course). It wouldn't be economical to buy a machine just for the sake of testing.
