Hi. I'm building a house and the electrician has told me he has future-proofed it by putting 2 cat5 cables and a co-ax into every room. I have 2 cat 5s in my office and 4 cat5s and 3 coaxes in the tv room. I think 2 of each of these head into the roof space and the rest to the hub. I was thinking about keeping my music on my pc in the office for access elsewhere but i am wondering whether it would be better to set up a seperate media pc in the TV room.

I don't want to be flogged any expensive fancy state of the art home entertainement stuff, I just access from s pc to music in other rooms - maybe video too at a later date.

how do I set this up? Where do I start? Do i need one of these 'media pcs'

Cheers

Angus

Sorry: the para starting 'I don't want to be flogged any...' should have read: -

I'll read before submitting next time...
