I've got a 19" CRT monitor that has started to detoriorate. Can someone advise me on the best way to get rid of the monitor in a safe, enviroment friendly way?

If it's of any help, I am based in Norwich, UK.

how about your local council incinerator. ours has an area where you can take your houshold rubbish where there are different skips for different rubbish including an area for monitors, tv's videos fridges etc. they will also come & collect but they charge for this service

Most official council tips are environmentally friendly nowadays, with special facilities for most types of reject goods. Try there, or phone your local council for information.
