where is my mouse

  SLAYER 19:19 13 Nov 06

I've a friends PC to look at and for some reason the mouse or mice as I've tried several does not show on the desktop unless I am in safe mode.
I might add that the friend is still using windows ME.

i'll start you off (at least bump you onto page 1).

I would, whilst in safe mode, goto device manage, find mice and other pointing devices, remove any that are listed. Then reboot, on restarting windows should 'find' the mouse and reinstall it.

Hope this helps.

Thanks vinnyT, that didn't work. No matter I'm only playing about with it,I'm going to fire some more memory in and upgrade it to XP.
Thanks again for your suggestion.
