Where to fit a Zipp 100 Drive

I have recently purchased a new computer with Xp 2400+ and an 80 Gig hard drive.
I asked them to fit my Zipp drive as they built it ,this they did, but they put the Zipp drive as slave to the Hard drive, is this correct or should it have been fitted as slave to the DVD on IDE 2 .they say it doesn't matter which one it is fitted to.Is this correct or will the Zipp drive slow down the Hard drive

I would fit it as slave to the dvd on ide2.

I'm with rubella on this one...I've a 2400+ XP system as well, and seeing as your more likely to transfer data from/to hard disk, it makes sense to use the primary slave...I did try the DVD/Zip setup on another PC, but this caused many crashes and freezes - I suppose its down to the speed and age of motherboard - if yours is brand new and has a decent speed cpu, either combination should work.
