I've got an avi file that I can't edit - it says I need to download x-vid core dll ... I can find links to download it no problem but could anyone tell me where to put it on my computer such that it will then work in moviemaker? ( I can play the avi file in Windows media player but when I try to drop it into Movie Maker I get that message and just a black clip)

Just copy and paste the DLL file to your C:\Windows\System32 folder.
