Whats Vista Do I Need?

I am considering upgrading to Vista. But what does x32 x64 x86 etc mean? How do I know what one I need. Does it depend on the spec of my PC or what? Thanks.

xp2 fiasco? What's that, then?

I have done the test and it says my system can be upgraded. It recommends the business vista for some reason but says nothing about x32, x86 etc.

If you have XP Pro you can only upgrade to one of the business versions of Vista. Similarly if you have XP Home you can only move up to Vista Basic or Home Premium. To change you will have to buy the full version.

Regarding your other question click here

But you only need the 32-bit version, unless you want to invite problems.

As for the other point raised. I assume it is SP2 that was referred to. There was no fiasco, just people who didn't have much clue.
