Whats the smallest file size boot disc i can have?

I need as much free space as possible i only want what is required to boot into dos.

Why use a boot disk? Just the F8 key at the start up and go to 'dos' from there also known as command prompt.

i want to ghost accross a network so it cant load up the c drive at all

If it helps, in Windows XP, selecting the option to Format a Floppy Disk lets you "Create an "MS-DOS Start Up Disk". This has far fewer files on it than a Win98 boot floppy created from Win98's Control Panel.
