there is memory on the graphics card the new ones have 512. if you want a gaming pc to play the latest + future games with good detail and frame rates you need a decent spec, core 2 duo or quad, 2g memory. 8800gt 512 graphics card.

It's the amount of RAM on the graphics card. The graphics card is used to actually generate and manipulate the picture shown on the display.

More graphics memory helps make that process more efficient, and faster (just like more RAM in the main part of the system makes that more efficient and faster.

This type of graphics card and large amount of RAM only becomes important when you are doing graphics intensive tasks, like the latest games, and some types of video manipulation.

right, but, at one point of the spec, it says '128MB nVidia GeForce 8400 (128MB DED), and then near the botton, it says
Graphics Memory : 895mb
Graphics description : nVidia Geforce 8500 GT

So whats the difference between the 895 and the 128??
