I have several pcs at home on my network. I know I need to back up files on all of them. I intend to use a half-a-terabyte usb drive to do this but need advice on a good program which will allow different backup names for the different machines.

Any ideas folks???

Also Norton Ghost.

I generally detest Norton products but this is easy to set-up and has never failed me.

...Would Acronis provide all I need and give the files different names?

  Technotiger 21:51 10 Sep 08

You can give the files any name you want in Acronis.

VoG, Before I decide for sure, I'll definitely give Ghost a look.
