What's Cheaper / Best Option

Want to upgrade my PC its current spec is.

1gb ram
radeon 9700pro graphics card
Asus mobo A7n8 deluxe
AMD Athlon xp2700

Have around £500 max to spend am I better buying a totally new PC from someone like Novotech or buying an upgrade bundle.

Looking to go dual core either AMD or Intel.
64bit, sli mobo. Graphic's card Geforce7900gt ?.

Is it possible ?.

Any help is much appreciated

None of these are going to happen with what you have. You are unlikely to manage to get as high a spec as you expect for the money you suggest.

I think you should manage to get a 64bit AMD or a lower end dual core CPU and maybe a 7800 for the money however you wont get 2 GFX cards worth talking about.

Can you add the cash from the sale of the old PC?

Depens where u hunt. Just upgrade my brother pc to the following specs:

1x Asus Mobo
1x Asus Geforce 7300 GT SLI PCI Express
1x AMD X2 4600 CPU
1x 1Gb DDR2 Dimm Cosir

Worked out about £360 from the local pc fair. The mobo was one of the cheapest available but does the job. Just summin to give u a idea of prices.
