whilst house is undergoing a makeover ,,i thought it best to lay cable for broadband to three rooms in the house,,im with aol and would like to know what router etc id need and ideally id like to run my laptop from garden in summer. ps i dont want to spend a fortune...

Easiest would be to buy a wireless router + 3 adaptors. saves running miles of cable everywhere and will allow you to run laptop in the garden in the summer. If you shopped around you could probably get it all for around 60 quid.

DLink seem to be a popular choice. I did have a problem with wireless connectivity with the DLink DSL-G604T Wireless 802.11g so I used ethernet cables on to three PC's! Worked a treat.
