Whats the best program for burning CDs (Different)

I want to get a CD-RW. Partly to record CD's, but mainly to store digital photos.

What should I look for? I would like to be able to store the photos on CD ROM and then be able to play back on the TV via DVD.

I dont have a CD-RW or a DVD player yet. So any advice will direct me to the correct purchase!

Thanks

Ian

Just a few thoughts on your needs.

I am uncertain about other burning progs, but I think Nero still has a maximum of 99 photos to a disc. But a burning programme will come bundled with you writer.

I use Ulead DVD PictureShow to write to CDR. This gives a good slide show with music. Limits on photo quantities quite high. But there are many more such programmes.

Ensure that when you buy your DVD standalone player that it supports VCD (SVCD if required) using CDR discs written by your computer. See here for compatibility suggestions..

Some DVD stand alones will play .jpg files from CDR using a base menu.

What siouxah1 is good advice. I use exactly the same system as he/she does and it works perfectly.
