I noticed a programme from my pc trying to access the net. It dissapeared before I could tell my firewall what to do but I think it was " Windows WGATRAY.exe"Any ideas what this is? Im on XP Pro , Dual core CPU, NVidia 7800GTX graphics card.
WGA is Microsoft Windows Genuine Advantage verification tool.
Thanks folks. Never noticed it before.Pammy's link seemed to be to a commercial Registry checker - not sure if I want that. Don't mind Microsoft. Wonder why it has only just appeared?
It did tell you what WGATRAY.EXE was
Pammy - Thanks. I don't know whether to download the stuff from the site. I'll wait a bit and run windows defender first. Very helpful. JB
