Hi I know this must sound a bit silly, but what kind of media would i use to make a backup copy of my dvds, you know is it dvd-r or dvd-rw and where is a cheap place to buy this media.

Also i have noticed some websites advertising dvd-r video media, what's the difference, oh i just give up, what happened to plain English?
Anyway if anyone can help please reply.
Thanx in advance.

I'm beginning to think i get ignored on this site.
Sorry if i have offended anyone.

You can use either, the DVD-RW can be erased and re-used but DVD-R is for keeps. You will also need a DVD writer!

This is a busy time of day, people tend to look at those threads they know they can answer first. If you don't describe your problem in the thread title, it may get ignored for longer.

Try using better titles for your threads.

What to use is not inviting for those of us with not much time.

You could have tried

"DVD-R or DVD-RW to backup DVD?"

"What DVD Media to backup DVD"

Also not many people will answer question that MAY be related to copying copyrighted material.

is this your own made DVDs?
