I have downloaded a couple of DVD's from a legitimate site and i would like to burn them onto a disc so that i may play them on my DVD Player unfortunately i am unsure as to what file type i use in order for this to happen also what type of disc do i use i.e. + or - DVD or one or the other, i have wasted a few discs trying this out or it may be my own DVD Player that is the problem. I would be very much appreciated for help on this matter. Thank you for your help in advance.

DVD's are in Mpeg2 format contained in a VOB file Depending on the format the downloads are you might just be able to use something like dvd flick which is free to convert and burn . to avoid risking making coastersd should you use flick then advise you make an Iso image first .If that then plays ok carry on an burn . If flick wont (unlikely ) accept the files then you need to convert first use something like any video convertor also free

Staying with flick get it here enter link description here Should you go for this the add your files go to project>burning then tick the box make and Iso image an d you are away .Note converting an dauthoring can take hours .Ask if you need any further info
