  Ankermi31 08:26 30 Jun 06

Operting WXP. CCleaner, Spybot,Registry Mechanic,AdAware and ETrust Antivirus.

Should I delete Sun Java Console? No idea what it is for!! Use to be Wanadoo now Orange BBand. Log on was going slow so on Oranage help page it suggested running a speed test and Sun Java Console appeared.

Should I delete it or if not what does it do or do I do something to it??

Some web pages won't display properly without it click here

DON'T delete it. Visit this site to verify whether you have the latest version. Microsoft no longer support their old version of Java and now recommend Sun.

Many thanks VoG and Andsome.

Not been a technical person - I have no idea what JAVA does?

I have confirmed from its site that it is the latest version.

Why is MS no longer supporting Java sounds a funny thing to do?
