Hi,
I've started up an old desktop PC i have and it only has 748mb of Ram. I ran the Crucial scanner to try+determine what type of Ram it is (DDR1 etc) but it couldn't find what Ram it was. I have now opened it up and took one stick out, unfortunately it doesn't say what Ram it is and just has the writing infineon 6 layer 7m8re-sa on the side.
After a bit of Googling it seems that they are both DDR (Does just 'DDR' mean DDR1?) 256mb sticks as they are one-sided.
What id like to know is will any other DDR1 stick work alongside them please?

Some old motherboards would not accept double sided RAM.

Use SIW to find make and model of motherboard then you can find RAM to suit.
