What Ram?

I wanna put another 1GB of ram in my pc. I have 4 slots with 512mb ram in 2 of them. Do I need to put the same make etc in the other 2. If so how do I tell what type it is without taking it all apart now? Thanks.

Run cpu-z click here

It will tell you the exact memory in your system and how many slots you have free.

run memory advisor tool from link, it will tell you exactly what you can put in your PC...

It says Module size 512mb, Max Bandwith PC3200 (200Mhz) Manufacturer Corsair. So what does that tell me? Can someone show me a link to some compatible ram please.

Oh yes it says DDR too.

the advisor tool in the link tells you EXACTLY what you can buy for your PC...

there is a list of all compatable memory that will run in your PC shown after the scan, you can also buy from Crucial...

any of these

Im with MAT ALAN,
Buy it from there also, alot of people do the scan and then try to match it themselves and end up with a crashing machine or unrecognised ram.
Its not worth it trying to save a few quid when it comes to ram.
