What more can I do

I have set up a wireless network on my main PC. An ASUS Wireless LAN is present.

I have set up my laptop to join the network and entered all the details (key etc) but it doesn't find the network I created. It used to work until my PC crashed and I had to reinstall everything from scratch

Check that each pc has a unique name and an individual ip address like: 192.168.0.1 & 192.168.0.2

A command prompt that you can use is: ipconfig /all Note the space before the /all
Run this prompt on both machines to check their names and ip addresses.

Setup folder sharing.

When setting up the network make sure the firewall is turned off on both machines. Once the network is working, enable the firewall with a configuration to allow both machines access.
