what lead do i need to watch films from pc on tv

hi all, need help please.

i have a toshiba equium L350 x86-based pc which only has USB ports and a 15 pin plug socket with out the screw bits on the the sides(if that makes any sense).
what lead do i need to watch and hear films from my pc on my tv.
the tv is the new sony bravia eco friendly tv and has hdmi ports scart ports and loads of other stuff that i dont understand yet. can some one help, please keep it simple. cheers

Hi Steve, you will need a SVGA/VGA lead for the visual, to connect from the VGA out of the PC, and then on the back of the Bravia there is PC input (vga) connection. You will also need an Audio connection if you want to hear the sounds through the TV and not the PC, A normal 3.5mm lead will do.

got the lead you suggested and its working fine.
still cant get the sound to come through the tv even with 3.5mm jack into rca,

Have you checked the settings on your pc for the audio output? (probably the headphone socket) and check that it is not muted.
