What has wiped my Outlook Express?

Four of us in my family have individual accounts on our XP operating system and we each have a different email address, using Outlook Express. My partner though has discovered that her email identity has been completely wiped from Outook Express. How? Why? There is nothing there but an empty email system: no name, no address, no mails in the in or out folders. Nothing. Can this just happen? Is it a known problem? Does a virus do this? Or should I suspect my eldest daughter who likes to download stuff and sometimes logs on as her mum?

.....probably the latter!

Bit late now, but install Norton GoBack to prevent this happening again, and password protect it.
