On behalf of work colleague who let his Mrs loose on the pc DOH. they are using a laptop with sonic digital media le v7. She decided to copy their wedding dvd for the families.. Instead of making one copy from the original she recopied it to the hard drive and filled the thing. What is the file extension to search for to delete the copies, or where does it store it. cant find it in temp, mydvd or my documents.

.vob .bup .mpg .avi could be anything.

Look for file names that relate to the wedding.

ts. for the movie bit

bup ie. "VTS_01_0.BUP"

vob ie. "VTS_01_1.VOB"

ifo ie. "VTS_01_0.IFO"

the numbers will be different but the general idea is

ts (might be ts_audio AND ts_video), vob, bup, or ifo

check they are the right ones though before deleting, also check what format sonic digital media le v7 saves its files in by doing a dry run upto the save bit and see where they are saved and as what file extension.

good luck.

Just to let you know i found the offending items in a hidden folder "temp" which was in another hidden file "local settings". Hard drive now has a respectable amount of free space.

thanks
