What CPU Pentium or Celeron?

I have an IBM 600E Thinkpad laptop.

It all works fine, but it is a bit jery showing DVD movies.

It has a 366Mhz PII and 160Mh of RAM.

Should I go for a 400Mhz PII or a 450Mhz Celeron (which is a bit cheaper) or would it help if I RAMMED a few more bytes of memory in?

Any ideas?

Cheers

Keith.

I honestly do not think a CPU upgrade will make a noticeable difference. Upgrading the RAM may possibly help.

Another problem will undoubtedly be the limited ability of the graphics chip.

your laptop should be ok for watching dvd's. more ram may help. what software are you using to play dvd's with???.

Hi Goonerbill - I am using XP plus Cyberlink Power DVD XP.

Fine for most things, but some fast action scenes are a bit jerky.

Then memory will be your best bet. The more the merrier....TT
