What brand and model would be best for my need

I wish to use the new Micrsoft Encarta Dictionary and Encyclopedia on a pocket pc in conjunction with a portable CD rom drive I already own - it is a Panasonic KXL-783M portable 8X CD Rom drive - at least 5-6 years old and has a SCSI port at the back.

I want it for travel and wanted too know what type of pocket PC or PDA would handle this much data. Needs a lot of RAM I would think.

Best,
David

Is your intention to connect the CD-ROM to a PDA/Pocket PC? I'm not aware of any that would have a 50 pin mini SCSI port.

I agree with Big Elf. I doubt very much that you would find a PDA that could be connected to a SCSI drive.

If you wish to do this, you may have to consider a notebook, with built in CD drive. Perhaps someone who works in PC retailing may be able to give you a definitive reply.
