What Bios do I have (strange one)

  Devious Dave 00:14 14 Dec 03

Right, I thought I'd update my bios, as you do. So I opened up the case and found the I have a MS-6534 motherboard. I went to the MSI website found the board and the link to downloaded the most up to date bios and downloaded it and it was an AMI bios.

Restarted the machine and and noticed that it said, AWARD in the top left corner. Went back to the MSI website no award BIOS for my board to be found. I then thought maybe I've got the model number wrong, so opened the case again and checked but no, I was right its an MS-6534.

While the case was open I looked it the bios chip and on the sticker it says Phoenix.

Any ideas, David.

I would suggest being careful when updating the BIOS.

It could render the PC useless.
