What is best 32' HD LCD TV you can get for £550

  maximomatt 18:56 27 Feb 07

I have £550 to spend on a New High Def TV.

I want the TV to be 32'

The main reason for buying is to accompany my new PS3 when it arrives.

Should I go for a brand name like phillips or samsung?

Has anyone seen any good deals online?

any ideas??

Go for top brand names such as Panasonic, Toshiba, Samsung and Sharp.

The current LG models (company shares a TFT panel production plant with Philips) are, unusually, not quite as good as the above in my opinion (my best mate owns an independent audio/visual/appliances outlet and I see his sets working two or three times a week).

Had a look at electrical dicount uk, they have the Samsung LE32R74BDX for £562, the cheapest I have seen yet. Still gonna keep looking though, I hear evesham lcd's have 3yr warranties as standard.

At the moment this looks to be a great bargain. PS Evesham have received mixed reviews. click here

I recently purchased this for my dads birthday from evesham
Cost£500 inc 3yr warranty, next day delivery and customer service was excellent, however after four hours of use the tv failed to turn back on, but it was exchanged by evesham the day after.
I wouldnt say the pic quality is that good but good enough for my dad who just watches normal tv.

I bought mine from Novatech and it is a belter. Think I paid £499 in November. It is an LG panel and costs about 200 quid extra with the name badge.
