Westell 6100F can't get it to work

  Blessed 03:32 16 Jan 10

My 2 wire modem went out. I have a Westell 6100F router that I used with verizon. When I connected it nothing happened. I can't install the disk because Verizon comes up and now I'm with AT&T. What do I need to do to use the Westell 6100 and where can I download the software. Thank you for your help

You should be able to configure the router for use with your new ISP by connecting to it by ethernet cable, *NOT* wirelessly, and typing its [the router's] IP address into your web browser. This will open its setup pages and, provided it isn't *locked* to Verizon's service, you can enter your AT&T settings.

When I type in for AT&T nothing happens. But when I type and type admin and password it opens to a Verizon page. I went to Westell site and it says this router was specifically made for verizon.

It does sound as though the router is dedicated to the Verizon service and won't let you configure it for use with a different provider.
