Hi I recently went back to xp from vista and after Installing xp the pc boots to the windows xp sign hangs for a second or 2, a blue screen flashes up but to fast to read, the pc then restarts and repeats the process. I have tried safe mode can get to it, tried using recovery console to repair the boot list no luck and finaly tried reinstalling xp but still no luck.

Any help appreciated Thanks Alan

Can you explain how you went back to XP?

Did you format the hard drive and reinstall windows XP or what did you do?

Try booting to safe mode (tap F8 during boot) and then:-

Auto-reboot disable:
When Running windows and it crashes you will get a blue screen and it will automatically restart, often it will restart too fast for you to see the error message.
To disable auto restart on system failure, so you can see the error message.

1. Go to Start -> Control Panel -> System (Windows+Pause works, too)
2. Go to Advanced
3. Under the Startup and Recovery section, click Settings...
4. Under System Failure un-check "Automatically restart"

I forgot to add I also did a disk check in the recovery console but it said the disk was in good condition.
