Are you sure the program is called that, have you tried to boot into safe mode and do a search for rtg*.* and make search advanced options to include hidden and system folders and sub folders

Have you looked in Control Panel/User Accounts/Change the way users log on/ Tick both boxes (Use Welcome Screen and Use Fast user switching)

thanks for your replies the programme is called rtgina2.dll i went to the control panel to reset the welcome screen but it said that programme had to be uninstalled before i could resume normal sign on screen i searched the computor and went to add and remove programmes but couldn't find it so im gonna take it to pc world and let them get rid of it as they were the last to touch it im just worried i might be a hidden spyware kind of thing so im not gonna check my online banking just incase

Just curious, because in this sort of thing with an unknown like that its usefull to google it. But in this case google couldnt find a single instance of it, which is unusual. Ditto the microsoft site as well.

Hi, that is not a program of the type you would find in add/remove or All Programs - it is a Driver File!

I would also advise running your AVG/Spyware/AdAware programs too, probably also best to run these programs with your System Restore turned off - restart your computer after running the programs and that will re-start your System Restore.

Good luck.

PS - another thing to run after doing the above is RegScrub ... click here

Hmmm, an addendum to my Response at 08.37 above - After restarting your computer you may need to go into System Restore window again to re-start System Restore.
