at school i notice if i was to go on the inernet it would come up with a page reminding you of the school internet rules etc that you can only see if your on the network.

Id like to do this at home (just welcoming people to my network) so how do i get this to appear on computers that are linked to my router and what will i need?

You may need to configure some sort of proxy and then configure the home PCs to always run through this proxy which would display a message whenever a user surfs the web for the first time.

Or just configure the homepage for each home pc to go to one on ur network, or one you have hosted on the internet.

Sounds like a lot of work just for a simple welcome message though!
