Webpage background

Hi, can anybody help me please?

I have designed a graphic in Corel Draw that I want to use as a web page background on a website.

What format do I have to save it as?

I use Frontpage for the actual web design.

I'm a bit rusty here, but if you save your background as a jpeg (faster to load) Then apply it on the first layer as background in Front Page

I think that should do it...But I have not used it in years :)) Others may know better!

gif would be a smaller filesize than jpg

It would, but the day's of .gif are gone (poor resolution on today's monitors)

Thanks guys, I have saved it as a JPEG and it does the job perfectly. I should have tried it first but for some reason I thought it had to be an unusual format.
