Web-Cam Problems

  kentylad 11:09 13 Jan 04

I have two (dont ask!) Creative Web-Cam's for a notebook (Model N.o: PD1170) yet neither of them work!

I have tried numerous times to connect to people via MSN 6.1 but it just says it is connecting for a lengthy time, and then loses any connection. I have re-installed the drivers numerous times yet still no luck. I have also tried re-installing the hardware itself.

I am on a (relatively) large university network, however I dont think they are restricting such connections, as other people on the network seem to be able to work web-cams fine (albeit a different make).

I do have Norton Internet Security 2004, and I believe this may be the problem. I dont know how to configure the settings however to allow my webcam to communicate. I don't have the MS firewall running (Windows XP Pro)

Any ideas appreciated

Kind regards
